Director of the Ellen G White Research Centre

John Skrzypaszek


John  has been the Director of the Centre since August 2005. He is passionate about developing confidence in God’s prophetic gift and the ministry of Ellen White through teaching, preaching, scholarly research, effective administration and personal example.

John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Pacific Union College, a Master of Arts (Theology) degree from Avondale College and is currently completing his Doctor of Ministry degree. He has wide experience in pastoral leadership and has involved in public evangelism ministry in Australia and in Europe. He has travelled widely through the Middle East and Europe connecting with people from various ethnic backgrounds. As Ministerial Association Secretary, Personal Ministries and ATSIM Minister Coordinator for the North NSW Conference, Pr Skrzypaszek has developed several leadership and outreach resources. When able to carry the sole responsibility of pastoral leadership development for the same conference, he concentrated on conducting leadership training workshops for pastors and church leaders.

John has a passion for God, spirituality and mission. He is deeply convinced of God’s leading in the Seventh-day Adventist Church.


Marian de Berg


Marian is an Avondale graduate from the 1960s and has been assisting at the Ellen G. White Research Centre for the past several years. Before her work at the Centre, Marian has worked in many secretarial roles in South New Zealand, Australasian Conference Association, South Queensland and Avondale College.

Marian has read widely on Ellen White and the pioneers of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and travelled around several Adventist historic sites. She wants to help people gain an appreciation of the immense dedication of the early Adventist pioneers and of how the Adventist church began.
